SLC Birth Photographer | IMC Hospital | Baby Peter
One month ago today this gorgeous little boy entered the world and I feel so honored that I had the opportunity to photograph his birth!!!
Birth is incredible, absolutely incredible. I always tell my husband that it if was an option to be a surrogate birth-er I totally would! Pregnancy isn’t my favorite nor is post baby or sleepless newborn nights but there is just something magical about everything unexpected that comes with deliver. I’m a very schedule person so not knowing when you baby is coming and being completely surprised is something that every mother gets to experience.
If you haven’t gathered already, Tiffany is my little sister, I have 4 older siblings that have all had children but this was my first younger sibling to get married and have kids.
I love Tiffany and I am so grateful that she is married to Steven, he absolutely cherishes her and treats her like a princess! When they announced they were expected I was ecstatic! At the time we were living in Orem, Utah and I didn’t know where we’d be when she gave birth.
Well the morning on June 7th Tiffany called me, I did what every pregnant woman dreads and my first question was “ARE YOU IN LABOR?!”, thank goodness she was calling me about her water possibly breaking or I would have felt terrible! After talking with her and her going into the hospital it was confirmed that her water had indeed broken and baby Peter was on his way!
I was home with the kids and Michael was at work so I just expected to go do pictures after Peter was born, well surprise, Michael was getting off work early and when Tiffany was at 6cm I rushed to the hospital.
I was calling the nurses frantically concerned that she would be pushing in the 20 min it took me to get there but they just laughed and said it would be a while. See, my kids were both born within 2 hours of my water breaking so I always fear one of my clients will go fast like me and I’ll miss it (If you haven’t read Paige’s birth story, click here, she was a 2 hour labor!)
Well when I arrived to the hospital, Tiffany and Steve were as calm as could be, just enjoying some chill time in their hospital room.
Yep, he’s feeding her blue, flavored ice (IMC ROCKS!)

6 lbs 13 oz and 20″, my guess was 6 lbs 15 oz and 20″!!
What a handsome little guy!
Thank you again to Tiffany and Steve for letting me be part of Peter’s big day, what an wonderful opportunity this was.
